PROJECT MANAGER
Working in the dynamic Programme Team, the successful candidate will identify, develop and manage projects covering a range of policy areas such as: climate change, energy and projects supporting economic reform in Brazil. The jobholder will work closely with UK government departments and Brazilian government authorities.
Candidates will have a university degree in International Relations, Economics, Environment or related-areas, a demonstrable track record of managing a portfolio of projects and an understanding of environment and economic issues in Brazil. Experience of policy work, a diverse network of contacts in government, business and civil society and excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese are essential. JOB DESCRIPTION – PROJECT MANAGER
To identify, develop and manage projects in the Programme Team, covering a range of policy areas such as: climate change, energy and economic reform. To inform the Policy Team on the impact of projects and how projects can support policy transformation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new projects: identify new project areas, which will bring about transformation in policy, identify partners and evaluate project proposals. 25%
Monitor projects: including writing of documents, financial management, meeting participation, project reporting, liaison with UK government stakeholders and other partner organisations. 40%
Evaluate project performance: evaluate the impact and effectiveness of projects in meeting the FCO and the Embassy’s strategic objectives.20%
Publicity: in partnership with the press and public diplomacy team, launch and communicate projects in Brazil and to an international audience. 5%
Manage others: Manage one Programme Assistant. 10%
